Clubhouse Management
General Clubhouse Management
The WindanSea Community Clubhouse was built by and paid for by WindanSea Surf Club with community donations of money, materials and time. It sits on land owned by the State government and has P&E Court development approval for its specific use. The Clubhouse is owned by Sunshine Coast Council and managed on its behalf by the WindanSea Boardriders Club.
Day-to-day care sits with our volunteer Clubhouse Management Committee, which looks after maintenance, bookings and long-term planning in line with the lease and the Clubhouse Business Plan. Sunshine Coast Council retain oversight of the management of the Clubhouse.
The committee is a mix of WindanSea Boardriders members and representatives from the wider Caloundra surfing community. It operates under the club's constitution and bylaws, so decisions are transparent, accountable and made in the community's interest. The WindanSea Executive nominates the Windansea Committee members and Committee executive of Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and General Committee members. The Windansea executive reaches out to the community for nominations from the Community for representation on the committee which is then endorsed by the Windansea Executive.

In 2021 the Committee developed an Interim Strategic Plan, endorsed by WindanSea Members, which guided the funding, construction and use of the facility.
